Bargain of the Week – Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Pink Gold

I’ve owned a few of the Maybelline Colour Tatoo’s for a while now, I’ve been impressed with the pigmentation and longevity of these cream shadows and at £4.99 each they’re an absolute steal. Last week I came across the colour Pink Gold while aimlessly wandering the beauty aisles in Superdrug. I’m don’t often use pink shadows but this Colour Tattoo is simply gorgeous and has completely won me over. It’s even replaced my MAC Paint Pot in Rubenesque as my daily shadow base. I’ve been using Pink Gold every day this week and it really brightens my eyes, perfect for when I want a natural look during the week. I still have to use UD’s Primer Potion or this will crease on my lids but even MAC Paint Pots and Benefit Creaseless Creams crease on me so this isn’t a negative for me.

Overall I’m really impressed with this shade and i can see myself getting a lot of use out of it.

I’m back and bargain of the week!

Hi all, due to my lack of internet i’ve had a large break from reading my beloved beauty blogs. Now that I have regular net access again i’ve wasted my week spent hours and hours catching up on all my favourites. I’ve become rather obsessed this week and i’ve decided to blog daily as often as possible, hopefully at least 4 times a week. To kick off my new blog, i present the bargain of the week!

Since my cosmetics wish list far exceeds my beauty budget, i’ve been on a real bargain hunt lately, trying to find high street dupes or alternatives for my favourite high end products. This week i finally used up the last of my Boi-ing concealer by Benefit. I love this stuff so so much, it hides the hideous purple circles under my eyes amazingly well, has a creamy, blend-able formula and is overall a pretty perfect concealer (in my opinion). I was all ready to rush out and buy another the day it died but after countless rave reviews, i decided to give the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer a try. I’ll admit, I was rather skeptical despite the cult following this product seems to have but i have to say, it’s pretty near perfect. Like Boi-ing it has a lovely creamy formula and gives great coverage. It may be a completely different product to Boi-ing, but as an alternative its fantastic, and at £3.99 i really can’t complain.

This has to be one of the best concealers i’ve tried in terms of formula and coverage and  definitely gives high end products a run for their money. I’d definitely repurchase this and recommend it to anyone who wants a high coverage concealer at a bargain price.
